I stopped at a welding shop and bought some stainless steel wire. There's plenty of room in the loop and I can get around 90° corners in the back and stretch it out if needed.
Cross another layer of stainless steel wire through the notch of the field bar at a 90° bend.

I made one for G19, 21 and 26. The whole design was improved and modified for 19 and 21. The 26 was a different approach without rails, but the 19/21 design was adapted and worked perfectly. I'm going to buy some mesh for the pie area.
You'll also need to add a piece that sticks out horizontally to the frame to keep the bag open and away from the ejection port.
